Operating the Firefly:

Propulsion: When you turn the right handle on the steer, like on a moped, it start to move. The engine is in the hub. The Firefly can move forward and backward up to 12.5 miles/hour or 20 km/h

Steering, braking and shifting gears: The Firefly steers just like a bicycle: turn the steer left to turn left, or right to turn right. The Firefly has a small turning radius because of its relatively small front wheel size and its wide 90 degree steering angle.

The Firefly is equipped with a handbrake on the handlebars.

The Firefly changes gears automatically.

Changing from forward to backward gearing is done by hand.

Mounting the Firefly:

  1. Fit the socket of the lower wings to the lower clamp balls, and secure the ball-joint with the bolt. Push the steer slightly forward, thereby raising the front coaster wheels from the ground.

  2. Fit the socket of the upper wings to the top clamp balls, and secure the ball-joint with the bolt.

Removing the Firefly:

  1. While pushing the steering column forward, release each of the upper two ball-joints by pushing the bolt and removing the socket from the balls.

  2. Ease the steer backward, so that the front coaster wheels of the chair rest on the ground.

  3. Release the two bottom ball-joints by pushing the bolt and removing the socket from the balls.
